ART

Peppered with nods to the East and the history of Salento, the Palazzo Maritati e Muci composes a symphony of light and stone.

The Palazzo Maritati e Muci is nestled in the mysterious, unspoilt region of Salento, a land of earth, light and art, a place of exquisite and original dining, of astounding history and sand as fine as talc. It is an uncommon experience, surrounded by a land of pleasures, one that is hard to resist. Slowly, surely, let us enter the wonderland tucked away in Salento - so wild, yet so refined.

MAKING EVERY MOMENT COUNT

A SENSE OF PLACE

This is not a hotel but a new concept of hospitality where Chef Guy Martin opens the doors of his Palazzo Maritati and Muci and shares its private pieces collection featuring a variety of forms.

Inspired by the idea of “lightness” (leggerezza), architects and local craftsmen have maintained the original historical features with a set of dramatic canvas as a natural stage of art pieces.

Palazzo Maritati e Muci features a number of unique “OEUVRES” by French and Italian contemporary art designers as well as private pieces of Guy Martin’s favorites such as books of any sort and vinyls.

Spaces still recall another time and place. Inspired by notable Salento noble properties, guests immerse into a world bedecked in kaleidoscopic natural light cutouts. No two guest rooms are alike.
